The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with great pride and enthusiasm on 26 January 2026 at Kishori Sinha Mahila College. The programme began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Principal, Dr. Kumari Gayatri Singh, followed by the National Anthem, creating a sense of patriotism and unity among all present. In her address, the Principal highlighted the significance of Republic Day, emphasizing the values of the Constitution, democracy, and the responsibilities of citizens. She also shared her vision for the development and progress of the college for the coming year, marking her leadership after assuming office on 01 January 2026. Her speech inspired students and staff to work collectively towards academic excellence and institutional growth. The celebration was graced by the presence of esteemed chief guests, Dr. Arunjay Singh, from the Department of Ancient Indian and Asian Studies, who retired as Associate Professor and also served as Principal-in-Charge of the college, and Dr. Lalan Singh, retired Professor from the Department of Mathematics. Their presence added dignity and honor to the occasion. The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of various competitions held on 12 January 2026, encouraging students to actively participate in co-curricular activities. The event ended on a note of pride and motivation, reinforcing the spirit of unity, dedication, and service to the nation.
The birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose also known as ‘Parakram Diwas’ was celebrated on 23 january 2026 with great respect and patriotic fervour in Kishori Sinha Mahila College under aegis of NSS. The programme began with the offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Netaji and lightning of holy lamp as a mark of deep respect for his immense contribution to India’s freedom struggle.
The Principal, Dr. Kumari Gayatri Singh addressed the gathering, highlighting the life, courage, and leadership of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Emphasizing his ideals of patriotism, sacrifice, and determination, the Principal inspired the students to follow his path and work with dedication towards the progress of the nation.
The celebration concluded on a solemn and respectful note, reminding everyone of Netaji’s enduring legacy and the importance of upholding the values he stood for.
Kishori Sinha Mahila College, Aurangabad, Bihar organized a “Vidyarthi Sahyog Shivir” (विद्यार्थी सहयोग शिविर) on 22 September 2026 at 11:30 AM in the college premises under the Student Assistance Programme. The camp was conducted as a special initiative to address and resolve various problems faced by students and to provide them with timely guidance and support.
The camp focused on assistance related to certificates, scholarships, admission and registration, examinations, document verification, and other academic and administrative issues. Students were encouraged to bring forward their concerns so that appropriate assistance and solutions could be provided through the concerned authorities.
The programme aimed to ensure that students receive necessary support in a transparent, accessible, and time-bound manner. Students were also informed about the Student Assistance Programme Portal (sahyog.bihar.gov.in/hss/) and the toll-free helpline number 1100 for registering grievances and seeking further assistance.
The students raised their queries and suggestions on various issues like larger area for sports ground, enough laboratory equipment in the Science block, Better sanitation facilities, drinking water and Canteen in the College campus. The suggestions were taken into consideration and students were promised to provide these facilities before the next meeting.
The initiative reflects the institution's commitment to student welfare, academic support, and prompt resolution of student-related issues.
Summary of the programme on Swami Vivekanand birth anniversary/National Youth Day
Kishori Sinha Mahila College celebrated the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanand, aslo known as National Youth Day under the aegis of NSS and IQAC. The programme on Swami Vivekananda Jayanti was conducted on January 12, 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, faculty and all the staffs of the college. The programme began with the offering of floral tributes to the portrait of Swami ji and lightning of holy lamp by the principal followed by cultural song. The Principal of Kishori Sinha Mahila College, Dr. Kumari Gayatri Singh addressed the gathering, emphasizing the relevance of Swami Vivekananda’s ideals in today’s world and encouraging students to imbibe his values of discipline, confidence, and service to society.
The event commenced with a lecture by Dr. Rahul Tiwari, Assistant Professor, department of Geography, highlighting the life, biography, and significant contributions of Swami Vivekananda, focusing on his inspiring thoughts, vision for youth empowerment, and message of national development.
Students actively participated in various activities organized to mark the occasion. A speech competition was held, where participants eloquently expressed their views on the teachings and philosophy of Swami Vivekananda. A quiz competition tested students’ knowledge about his life history, works, and thoughts, generating excitement and healthy competition among participants. Additionally, a painting competition provided a creative platform for students to depict themes inspired by his life and ideals.
The programme concluded with appreciation for all participants and a reminder to carry forward the message of Swami Vivekananda in daily life, making the event both educational and inspiring for everyone involved.

The celebration of Bihar Diwas was organized as a two-day programme on 23-24 March in Kishori Sinha Mahila College with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit. The event commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by the singing of the Kulgeet of the Magadh university by the students, creating a dignified and auspicious atmosphere.
The Principal, Dr. Kumari Gayatri Singh, addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance of Bihar Diwas, emphasizing the rich cultural heritage, historical importance, and progressive vision of the state. Her address inspired students to take pride in their roots and contribute meaningfully to society. This was followed by an insightful lecture by Dr. Rahul Tiwari, Assistant Professor, department of Geography who elaborated on various aspects of Bihar’s history, culture, and development.
A variety of competitions were organized over the two days to encourage student participation and showcase their talents. On Day 1, singing and dancing competitions were held, where students enthusiastically displayed their artistic skills. On Day 2, a debate competition on importances and challenges of Artificial Intelligence, along with mehndi and rangoli competitions were conducted, providing a platform for both intellectual and creative expression.
The programme concluded with a valedictory session, during which prizes were distributed to the winners of the various competitions. The Principal, in her concluding address, appreciated the efforts and participation of the students and encouraged them to continue engaging in such activities. The celebration ended on a joyful and inspiring note, reflecting the vibrant spirit of Bihar Diwas.
